Goalkeeper training program

The website www.keeperstrainer.com/en/ also offers the opportunity to follow a ‘learning pathway’.
The goalkeeper training program contains a gradual progression whereby the four main moments of goalkeeping form the red line.

  • Through Balls
  • Shots on Goal
  • Catching from Crosses
  • Building Up

The main moments continuously return during the goalkeeper training program and gradually increase in difficulty. When working with youth goalies, we advise the coach to follow every step in order. Start with training session 1 and end with training session 12.

Choose the level and number of goalkeepers

On the website you can choose between levels A, B or C.
Level C is the most suitable for the majority of beginner goalkeepers. Depending on the development of the goalkeepers you can then proceed with the exercises on level B or A.

By using the filter possibilities you select exercises to train with 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 goalkeepers.
In all exercises all goalkeepers are active. If you are not in the goal you will have an "active" rest and train for example throwing, passing or your first touch.
Or….

Create training sessions for your goalkeepers
Train with your goalkeepers for 30 minutes, an hour, or an hour and a half; it is all possible with www.keeperstrainer.com/en/ .

Create your own training sessions, or download a complete ready to use 60 minute training session. Print it out, or use your mobile phone or tablet on the practice field.
With the filter option, you decide which area of goalkeeping you are going to work on with your
goalkeepers.

Comprehensive program for all goalkeepers

As goalkeepers, we have a responsibility on the field.
We are the last line of defense but also the first line of attack.
The goalkeeper position requires a variety of skills different from the field players.
Keepers must have good hands, good footwork, defensive organizational skills, the ability to dive to save a low shot, and the ability to jump.
Often goalkeepers are not given the proper amount of training during your regular team training sessions.
That's why www.keeperstrainer.com/en/ has a comprehensive program for all goalkeepers at every level.
