Exercise

K3 passes the ball with inside foot over the ground to the feet of K2. K2 receives and shoots with instep (2 touches) at the goal to K1. Then the trainer passes the ball between K1 and K3 and K1 has to decide whether to intercept the ball at once or prepares for the 1 against 1 with K3. If K3 is with the ball earlier, K3 can score (only dribbling past K1). Left and right side.
Attention!!!! K3 doesn't make slidings! (to prevent injuries).
With 3 goalkeepers, K1, 4 x in a row, actions at high(est) pace. After the 1 against 1 with K3, walk calmly to the starting point and start again. After 4 repetitions, switch. K1 to position K2. K2 to position K3, K3 to position K1.
With 4 goalkeepers, K3 and K4 take turns. K1 and K2 stay on their position until K3 and K4 have both been 4 times, then switch with K1 and K2. Later (after 2 series of 4 repetitions), they will switch twice more so all goalkeepers have been on the positions of K1 and K2. 

Variations

  • K3 throws or rolls the (first) ball over the ground with bounce to the feet of K2. K2 tries to shoot the ball at the goal with as few ball contacts as possible.
  • K3 kicks the ball from the ground (or with a drop kick) into the hands of K2. K2 kicks the ball with a dropkick/ volley at the goal to K1.
  • Trainer throws or rolls the (through) ball, optionally with bounce, between K3 and K1 (instead of passing with the foot).
  • After switching sides, K2 shoots with "the non dominant leg" at the goal to K1.

Attention Points

  1. K2, the first ball with instep at the goal! (train instep shot).
  2. K1, handle the first ball from K2 quickly (push aside or clamp) and then as quickly as possible towards the trainer's through ball.
  3. K1, pay attention to your starting position, (bent knees and hands next to your body).
  4. Speed up the exercise, if K3 is earlier with the ball use the 5 sec rule! (K2 has to dribble past K1 within 5 sec to score). Trainer counting out loud!
  5. K1 sitting low (through your knees), stay on your feet and move along with the ball, if you can't intercept the trainer's ball at once.
