B3.37

Footwork (stepping sideways), diving. 3/4 goalkeepers

Exercise

K2 throws the ball firmly to the body and into the hands of K1. K1 rolls the ball back and after that, K1 steps sideways through the cones, and gets into starting postition in front of the two green cones. Then K1 gets a (firm) shot to the body from the trainer. Left and right side.
With 3 goalkeepers, switch right away: Two goalkeepers start at the position of K2. After the ball from K2 to K1, K2 goes straight to the position of K1 and after the trainer's ball, K1 to the position of K2. After 3 laps switch sides and then apply the variation.
With 4 goalkeepers, switch right away: Two goalkeepers start at the position of K2 and two goalkeepers at the position of K1, one of them next to the goal, (K4). After the ball from K2 to K1, K2 goes straight to the position of K4. K4 goes to the position of K1. K1 to position K3. K3 to position K2. After 3 laps switch sides and then apply the variation.

Variations

  • K2 tries to kick the ball from the ground into the hands of K1. K1 then goes straight through the cones.
  • K1 starts just next to the cone. K2 rolls a ball over the ground towards the post. K1 dives towards the near post corner, handles the ball (push aside or catch) and immediately gets ready for passing through the cones.
  • Trainer kicks a low ball to the left or right of K1, after the sideway steps through the cones, (optionally indicate in advance where you are going to shoot).
  • Trainer kicks a volley with bounce or dropkick in the hands of K1, after passing through the cones.
  • Trainer kicks or throws a half high ball to the left or right of K1, after passing through the cones, (possibly indicate in advance where you are going to throw / kick).
  • K1 starts in the middle, (between the post and the cone). K2 kicks a ball over the ground with inside foot varied between the cone and the post. K1 doesn't know where the ball is going to go (near or far post angle) and has to react to the ball. (Attention! the ball from K2 has to go over the ground!).

Attention Points

  1. K1 with high pace through the cones, small steps and bend through your knees.
  2. K1, stand still and get into the starting position before the trainer kicks the ball.
  3. K2, kick/throw the balls to K1 with the right pace. Don't be too careful, but don't shoot too hard!
  4. Starting postion: Through your knees and hands next to your body.
  5. K1, after the trainer's ball, take a breath and walk calmly to the position of K2. Rest a little longer between series!
